Three people complain that the CEC does not register them as candidates for the presidential election
Baku/25.12.23/Turan: Three persons who want to nominate their candidacies as candidates for early elections have declared that their documents will not be accepted by the CEC. One of them, Avaz Temirkhan ( Chairman of the Liberal Party, which was forced to suspend its activities due to the requirements of the new law on political parties, note. Turan), told Turan that on December 25, during the day, he was not accepted by the members of the CEC and the staff of this body.
"They tell me that the CEC members are at the meeting, but I saw two of them leave the building. If a meeting is taking place, then why are they not participating?" Temirkhan said.
Two more self-nominated candidates, historians Ulduz Guliyeva and Reshad Dadashev, told Turan that they have been coming to the CEC for the third day, but they do not accept documents.
"We asked the guards to convey our request to the CEC leadership so that we would be accepted, but even after that, no one accepted us. This is an outrage," Temirkhan said. In turn, the CEC staff told Turan correspondent that applicants "can apply electronically," and their applications will be considered within five days. –06B-
