Toivo Klaar called for a ceasefire
Baku/19.09.23/Turan: Urgent calls for an immediate ceasefire and genuine dialogue between Baku and the Armenian community in Karabakh have been made by Toivo Klaar, the European Union's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia. In a statement posted on the social network X, Clear emphasized the critical need to halt ongoing military actions to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
""Tragic reports have been received about the death of Azerbaijanis as a result of today's mine explosion," Klaar noted. "However, the ongoing military actions will only worsen the situation. There is an urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to ensure a genuine dialogue between Baku and the Karabakh Armenians as the only way to achieve peaceful coexistence," he asserted.
