Turkey and Kazakhstan have signed a number of cooperation agreements

Baku/10.05.22/Turan: Following the results of the negotiations between the presidents of Turkey and Kazakhstan in Ankara in a narrow and expanded format, the parties signed 15 cooperation agreements, the Anadolu agency reports.

The documents provide for cooperation in the field of transport, defense industry, military intelligence, information technology, culture, agriculture, transportation, trade, customs control, environment, education, youth policy, communications and archives.

The following documents were signed by members of the official delegations in the presence of the Heads of State:

1. Protocol on cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Archives Department under the President of the Republic of Turkey.

2. Memorandum on cooperation in the field of mass media between the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Communications Department under the Office of the President of the Republic of Turkey.

3. Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on International Combined Cargo Transportation.

4. Terms of Reference for the Agreement on Trade in Services between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey.

5. Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on the organization of information exchange and simplification of customs control procedures.

6. Memorandum of cooperation in the field of forestry between the Forestry and Wildlife Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Main Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey.

7. Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant protection.

8. Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of information technology between the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey.

9. Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of military intelligence.

10. Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of military archives, military history, museology and military publications.

11. Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of education.

12. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey in the field of cinematography.

13. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey in the field of youth policy.

14. Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of environmental protection between the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Environment, Urban Development and Climate Change of the Republic of Turkey.

Following the talks, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a joint statement on expanded strategic partnership.

The official welcoming ceremony of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was held in Ankara on Tuesday.

The President of Kazakhstan has arrived in Turkey on a state visit.

The first official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as President of Kazakhstan to Turkey will last two days.

The agenda of the visit includes discussions on the state and prospects of strategic partnership between the two Turkic-speaking states.

There will be an exchange of views on regional and international issues.-0-
