Turkey to Continue Supporting Azerbaijan in Karabakh
Baku/24.03.21/Turan: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Wednesday the manifesto of the ruling Justice and Development Party headed by him, which reflects the main directions of the AKP's policy for the period until 2023. The head of state addressed the participants of the 7th congress of the ruling party, held in the Ankara sports complex.
He noted that the circles that have been trying to restrict the development of Turkey for 200 years will no longer achieve what they want. “Today's Turkey is not what it used to be! The country's development goals, set for the period until 2023, will become the starting point for the formation of a powerful and strong Turkey in the 21st century,” Erdogan said.
Among the foreign policy priorities of Ankara, he named support for Azerbaijan in the Karabakh conflict. “The occupation of 20% of the territories of Azerbaijan and the massacre committed there, burned our hearts together with the Azerbaijanis. The OSCE Minsk Group, which took upon itself the settlement mission, did not solve this problem. On September 27 last year, Azerbaijan launched a counteroffensive and we were close to Azerbaijan. Thanks to the heroism of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the 30-year occupation has ended,” he said.
“Turkey will make every effort to implement the clauses of the November 10, 2020 agreement. This process will further strengthen the brotherhood of Turkey and Azerbaijan, Erdogan noted. -16D-
