Afgan Sadigov Refuses Artificial Nutrition
Baku/24.03.21/Turan: The condition of Afgan Sadigov remains extremely difficult. He has already given up on artificial nutrition, said on Wednesday the wife of the editor of the website Azel.TV Afgan Sadigov Sevinj Sadigova.
According to her, Afgan is unable to stand on his own, and he has severe pains in the stomach and kidneys. He is being held in intensive care and brought to the meeting in a wheelchair, she said, expressing outrage that Afghan was not pardoned.
Dozens of people were pardoned under the same article as he, but even the Court of Appeal did not change his imprisonment for house arrest.
Recall that Afgan Sadigov was arrested in 2020 on charges of accepting a 10,000 manat bribe together with Sakit Muradov, editor of the website xeberfakt.az. However, only Afgan Sadigov was convicted on this fact. He was imprisoned for 7 years. After the refusal of the Court of Appeal to release him, Afgan Sadigov began a hunger strike.
After some time, the doctors put him on artificial nutrition. -03B-
