Turkey will further support Azerbaijan - Hulusi Akar
Ankara / 22.10.20 / Turan: Over the past 30 years, no effective steps have been taken to resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Thursday.
“What has been done in 30 years? One big nothing! In response to the growing shelling from the Armenian side, our brothers in Azerbaijan launched a counter-offensive operation. What did those who remained silent and ignored for all these decades do in response? They began to call actively for a ceasefire and negotiations. This is an insincere position," Anadolu agency quotes Akara.
“Armenia must withdraw its troops from the occupied territories. Mercenaries and terrorists, who were sent to the neighboring country by Yerevan, must also leave the lands of Azerbaijan,” the Turkish minister said.
Hulusi Akar stressed that Turkey will continue to support the just struggle of Azerbaijan at the highest level.
During the battles that began on September 27, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces liberated more than 120 occupied by Armenia settlements of the republic, including the cities of Zangilan, Jabrail and Fizuli, as well as the village of Hadrut. -02D-
