Two PFPA activists subjected to administrative punishments
Baku/10.04.23/Turan: A member of the Supreme Majlis of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) from the Agdash region, Mezahir Rahimov, was administratively arrested today for 10 days.
As Turan was told in the PFPA, Rahimov was detained during the day in the city of Aghdam and taken to the district police department, and from there to the court.
He was found guilty under Article 535.1 (not obeying the police) and sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention.
And Gorkhmaz Abduragimov, the head of the Aghdash district branch of the PFPA, was fined 100 manats ($60) for protesting the closed trial of Rahimov.
The PFPA condemned the bringing of two activists to administrative responsibility and considered their cases politically motivated. -21V06-
