UK is ready to help mine clearance in Azerbaijan
Baku/09.02.21/Turan: Great Britain is ready to assist in demining work in Azerbaijan, British Minister of State for European Affairs Wendy Morton said on Tuesday at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity by ensuring the implementation of the well-known UN Security Council resolutions. He also pointed out that visits of foreign citizens to the territory of Azerbaijan without the permission of official Baku are illegal; therefore, Baku is responding appropriately.
During the meeting, issues of strategic dialogue, political consultations, mutual visits, cooperation in the energy sector were discussed, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
Secretary of State Wendy Morton highlighted the importance of cooperation on gender equality, green energy development and action to combat climate change. She stressed that Great Britain is ready to assist in carrying out demining work in Azerbaijan. — 06D-
