Washington D.C./08.05.23/Turan: Washington is preparing to call on the world’s largest economies this week to coordinate financial actions with regard to Russia’s war in Ukraine, TURAN's U.S. correspondent reports.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is expected to ask her counterparts in the G7 countries to boost up their commitment to Ukraine while holding Putin's Russia accountable, senior U.S. officials told reporters on Sunday.
Yellen will attend the G7 Finance Ministers and central bank governors meeting in Japan this week. She is also expected to provide an update on the G7 coalition price cap on Russian energy, officials said.
