Visit of the UK Defence Minister James Happy
Baku/30.03.22/Turan: The UK Defence Minister, James Heappey to visit Azerbaijan on 30 March.
The UK Defence Minister, James Heappey will visit Baku for a day-long visit. This will be the first visit by the UK Defence Minister to Azerbaijan.
The visit includes meetings with President Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Defence Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Key topics for discussion will be prospects of broadening UK-Azerbaijan defence cooperation during the 30th anniversary year of UK-Azerbaijan bilateral relations, the ongoing situation following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and outstanding matters connected with the conflict with Armenia, as well as the situation around the peace process. The Minister will also discuss demining cooperation as well as visit the Martyr’s Alley.-0-

"We are deeply shocked by the news of the deaths and injuries resulting from the tragic incident that took place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg," the message reads.
