Baku/08.12.22/Turan: On December 7, the "head of the Karabakh Security Council" Vitaly Balasanyan took part in the meeting of representatives of Azerbaijani Ministries and departments with the command of peacekeepers in Karabakh. This was reported by Armenian media on Thursday.
"Balasanyan took part in a meeting held at the permanent location of the Russian peacekeeping forces as a coordinator for interaction with the Russian peacekeeping troops." Balasanyan "expressed concern" over the actions of the Azerbaijani side, the report said.
Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Ecology, who discussed the monitoring of illegal exploitation of natural resources in Karabakh with peacekeepers, said nothing about the presence of Vitaly Balasanyan at the meeting.
To remind, a criminal case was filed against Balasanyan in Azerbaijan over the genocide in Khojaly in February 1992. He is considered to be one of the war criminals responsible for the death of over 600 civilians in Khojaly.
