Vladimir Zelensky: Azerbaijan will take part in restoration of Irpen city
Baku/22.06.23/Turan: Azerbaijan will take part in the reconstruction of the Ukrainian city of Irpen.
According to the official website of the Office of the President of Ukraine, this was stated by Vladimir Zelensky during the reception of the newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador to this country Seymour Mardaliyev, who presented his credentials to the Ukrainian leader.
Congratulating Mardaliyev on his diplomatic activity in Ukraine, Zelensky expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Zelensky conveyed his most sincere greetings to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and noted that their last meeting in Chisinau was fruitful and they were able to discuss many issues of mutual interest.
"In particular, we have agreed on Azerbaijan's participation in the reconstruction of the city of Irpen," he said.
"Our teams are already working on the implementation of this agreement. This will be a concrete contribution to the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine," the head of Ukraine stressed.
The Ukrainian President also thanked for the sincere welcome in Azerbaijan of Ukrainians "who suffered from Russian aggression".
He expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan "in eliminating the consequences of Russia's armed aggression, especially the man-made disaster staged by the Russian Federation at the Kakhovskaya HPP."
Vladimir Zelensky said that he hopes for Azerbaijan's active participation in the implementation of the Ukrainian formula for peace and participation in the Global Peace Summit.
The President invited Azerbaijani businessmen to join the implementation of infrastructure and energy projects. -03B-
