What did Bayramov and Donfrid talk about?
Baku/10.02.23/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfrid had a telephone conversation on February 9.
The Foreign Ministry reports that they discussed bilateral relations, the situation in the region and the state of peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Bayramov said that "the protest action on the Lachin road is legitimate and the demands of the protesters must be met. He stressed that allegations of a "blockade" and a "grave humanitarian situation" had no basis.
Bayramov also recalled Armenia's violation of the obligations to disrupt the negotiations, the partial withdrawal of its armed forces from Karabakh, and the illegal economic activities on the territory of Azerbaijan.
It It should be recalled that Donfrid's position is not reflected in the statement.
Worthy of note is that the U.S. State Department has not published any reports on Donfrid's conversation with Bayramov at all, nor has it commented on the press release from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. -02D-
