Baku /11.04.20 / Turan: On April 10, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister E.Mammadyarov.
The Foreign Ministers discussed the situation in both countries in connection with the pandemic of the Corona Virus COVID-19, steps to counteract the spread of the infection and neutralize its negative consequences. This is stated in the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry does not disclose details of the conversation either. From the message it is not clear why the situation with the Corona Virus suddenly began to be discussed by the Foreign Ministers. However, the latest appeal of the Cabinet of Ministers' Operational Headquarters calling on the citizens of the country not to crowd at border points in Russia in the hope of returning to Azerbaijan and to wait until April 20, answers the question of what Mammadyarov and Lavrov talked about. -02B-
