World Chess Cup starts in Baku
On September 10 in Baku starts World Chess Cup with the participation of 128 artists. This tournament is one of the most important competitions of the World Chess Federation (FIDE.)
The prize Fund of the World Cup (Chess World Cup-2015) totals 1.6 million US dollars.
The two finalists of the World Cup will get a ticket to the tournament contenders for the world title.
The tournament, which will be held at the Fairmont, will be attended by players from Armenia - Levon Aronyan, Gabriel Sargsyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Grant Melkumyan, as well as ethnic Armenians from the United States Samuel Sevian and Varuzhan Hakobyan. Competitions are held according to the cup system - the "loser is eliminated."
The tournament begins with the 1/64 finals, and then till the finals, which will take place on October 5. -06D-
