12 people died of coronavirus in Azerbaijan
Baku/22.05.21/Turan: Another 720 people have been cured of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan over the past day, and 352 new infections have been registered.
According to the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, 12 people with a positive result for COVID-19 have died.
So far, 332,235 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the country. Of these, 319,991 have been cured and 4,851 have died. The number of active patients is 7393.
During the past period, 3,446,033 tests have been carried out. The number of tests performed today is 10,841.
Vaccination in Azerbaijan began on 18 January.
According to the Operational Headquarters of the Cabinet of Ministers, the number of vaccine doses given up to date is 1,961,563. The number of people vaccinated in the first phase is 1,115,044 and in the second phase is 846,519.
The first coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan was detected on 28 February 2020.
The special quarantine regime that has been declared in the country will last until 1 June. Public transport has been suspended throughout the country on weekends and public holidays.
By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers the use of medical masks is mandatory in all indoor and outdoor areas throughout the country during the special quarantine regime. -0-
