133 new cases of COVID-19 infection revealed in Azerbaijan
Baku / 25.08.20 / Turan: 133 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified in Azerbaijan, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Tuesday; 86 people recovered over the past day, two infected people died.
A total of 35,559 cases of infection have been recorded in Azerbaijan. 33 190 infected people were cured, 521 died, 1848 active patients continue treatment.
There were 885,279 corona virus tests carried out, including 6,612 in the last 24 hours.
A journalist, Galandar Khachinbeyli, an employee of the newspaper "Həftə içi" also died from COVID-19.
The head of the Confederation of Trade Unions, Mushvig Aleskerli, told Turan that 40 journalists were infected in Azerbaijan, and five died. -03B06-
