138 new cases of COVID-19, five died
Baku/05.02.21/Turan: 138 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Azerbaijan per day; 329 people recovered, and five died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on February 5.
The total number of infected people in the country reached 230,907, while 24,760 were cured and 3,153 died. To date, the number of active patients is 2,994.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 2,439,718 tests, including 6,133 for the last 24 hours. –06D-

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
