20 border crossers detained in February
Baku/02.03.22/Turan: In February, 20 border crossers were detained in Azerbaijan. Of them, 11 were citizens of Azerbaijan, 5 of Turkey, 2 of Tajikistan, and one each of Iran and Pakistan.
Besides, 18 cases of crossing the country's border with falsified Schengen visas were stopped. Violations of border regulations by 105 persons were detected.
Also, 204 persons wanted by the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan were identified and handed over to appropriate authorities; 285 persons were not allowed to leave the country due to restrictions imposed by the appropriate; 16 persons were not allowed to enter Azerbaijan.
As a result of measures taken against illicit drug trafficking, 55 kg 980 gr of narcotics and 1000 tablets of psychotropic substances were withdrawn and due to anti-smuggling measures, goods worth 1 million 881 thousand 257 manats seized.-05D-
