23 candidates for lawyers are dissatisfied with the exams
Baku / 02.02.18 / Turan: 23 people were dissatisfied with the results of examinations for membership in the Bar Association, which took place on January 28. The report of the Board published on In a February 2 says that 23 candidates are asked to be examined with their participation. The Board notes that according to the results of written tests, 1,266 candidates could not score the appropriate number of points and go on to the next round. Complaints of 23 applicants were considered in the building of the Examination Center with participation of the management of the Board and applicants. During the audit, it was concluded that the calculations are correct.
The test exams for membership in the Bar were held on January 28. Of the registered candidates, 1873 participated, of which 607 people scored high scores. Those who received 60 or more points went to the next stage - an oral interview.
On October 31, 2017, the Laws "On Advocates and Lawyers", the Civil and Administrative Procedural Codes were amended, which was approved by the President. As a result, the institution of representation was liquidated, and not being a member of the Bar Association, cannot protect the rights of citizens in the courts. The number of members of the Bar Association is currently slightly over 900 people. -0-
