Baku/28.05.21/Turan: 242 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan, 392 people have been cured.
According to the information from the operational Decisionkoh under the Cabinet of Ministers, 5 people died, whose analysis samples were positive.
The situation on the contact line between Azerbaijan and Armenia has remained tense as the Armenian armed forces shattered ceasefire a total of 14 times throughout the day, Azerbaijan's defence ministry said. The number of active patients amounted to 5 465 people.
Over the past 24 hours, 10,254 tests were conducted in connection with the identification of new cases of infection, and 3,496,635 tests were conducted for the entire period of the pandemic.—0—

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
