28 kg of drugs seized on the Iran-Azerbaijan border
Baku/19.07.21/Turan: In the last days of July Azerbaijani border guards have seized more than 28 kg of drugs on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border, the press service of the country's border service reported on July 19.
Some of the drugs were seized during the suppression of illegal border crossing by drug couriers in Yardimli, Jabrayil and Astara regions.
In all cases, drug couriers abandoned their cargo at the sight of border guards and fled back to Iran. Above 7 kg of marijuana and a night vision device were found at the border violation site in Yardymli region; more than 11 kilograms found in Jabrayil region and above 9 kilograms of various drugs in Astara region. -02D-
