41-year-old Azerbaijani citizen arrested for spying in favour of Armenia
Baku/16.03.22/Turan: Azerbaijani citizen Emil Ramiz oglu Mammadov, born in 1981, has been detained by the State Security Service on suspicion of spying for Armenia.
According to the report of the State Security Service, Mammadov met with the Armenian special services in a third country and was involved in secret cooperation for money. He was tasked to collect and secretly transmit information that could harm the state security of Azerbaijan to the enemy.
Mammadov is charged under Article 274 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan and arrested by court order. Investigation is ongoing.
No information about his identity or details of his espionage activities has been reported. It should be noted that this is the first case of an Azerbaijani citizen spying for Armenia in many years. -02D-

In a bid to modernize and regulate the taxi industry in Baku, mobile patrols of the state traffic police have launched a series of raids aimed at ensuring that taxi drivers comply with newly established requirements.
