45 kg of drugs seized from drug couriers in three days
Baku/29.03.21/Turan: Over the past three days, the country's border guards on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border have seized more than 45 kg of drugs from drug couriers. According to the press service of the Border Service, on March 27, border guards near the village of Sarkhanly, Jalilabad region, noticed two border violators who, failing to comply with the order to stop fled.
During the inspection of the scene, several parcels of 12 kg of heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, methadone and other substances were found. On March 28, border guards detained a resident of Baku, Ramin Mammadov, at a site near the Ashagi Chemenli village of Beylagan region. During examination of his luggage about 16 kg of opium, 5 kg. hashish, 4.5 kg of methamphetamine, 4.4 kg of heroin, 2.6 kg of marijuana, 300 methadone tablets, and other drugs were revealed.
On March 29, near the city of Astara, border guards noticed a border violator from Iran. At the request to stop, he threw his luggage and ran back. A package containing 2.5 kg of methadone was found at the scene. -02D-
