611 new cases of COVID-19 infection detected in Azerbaijan
Baku/11.10.21/Turan: 611 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Azerbaijan, 638 people have recovered, 13 infected have died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan said on October 11.
In total, 492,790 cases of infection have been identified in Azerbaijan since the beginning of the pandemic, including 473,661 people recovered, 6,677 died, treatment of 12,452 active patients continues.
Over the past day, 5,575 coronavirus tests have been carried out.
Also, over the past day, 511 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
During the day, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose was 226 people, the second - 285 people.
The total number of those vaccinated is 8,997,289, of which 4,889,404 were vaccinated with the first dose, 4,107,885 people were vaccinated with the second. -06D-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads. Efforts to extinguish the fire are still ongoing.
