Iranian drug courier detained, more than 102 kg of drugs seized
Baku/12.10.21/Turan: On October 11 and 12, Azerbaijani border guards seized more than 102 kg of various drugs in the areas bordering Iran.
According to the State Border Service report, earlier near the village of Bilasuvar, border guards discovered several bundles of drugs with a total weight of above 19 kg. The same day, at 20:40, three border violators from Iran were spotted. One of the violators was detained while trying to escape, the two others managed to escape back.
The detainee was a citizen of Iran, Shahmugaddam Jafar Hasan, born in 1988. More than 35.5 kg of various drugs and psychotropic substances were found in his backpack and in bundles scattered around the territory.
At 7:45 a.m. on October 12, the coast guard of the Azerbaijani border guards found a large package on the southern section of the maritime border. More than 47 kg of various drugs and psychotropic substances were detected. -02D-
