78 new COVID-19 infections and 61,922 vaccinations per day
Baku/06.07.21/Turan: Over the past day, 78 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Azerbaijan, 47 patients have recovered, deaths of patients with COVID-19 have not been registered, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said.
The total number of infected reached 336 557, including 330 513 recovered, 4 978 died, 1066 active patients continue treatment. Over the past 24 hours, 9,952 coronavirus tests have been carried out.
Also over the past day, 61,922 people were vaccinated. The first dose was received by 26 425 people, the second - 35 497.
A total of 3 855 455 doses were administered in the country. The number of those who received the first dose was 2,371,796, the second - 1,483,659. — 06D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
