87 kg of drugs seized, 4 drug couriers detained
Baku/01.05.23/Turan: The State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan suppressed several attempts to smuggle drugs from Iran from April 25 to May 1.
At that, more than 87 kg of drugs and 19,758 psychotropic pills were seized.
Note that the operations conducted by Lankaran, Goradiz and Goytepe border guard units made it possible to detain a Lankaran resident, Rafael Askerov, born in 1965, and his son Kenan Askerzadeh, born in 1991.
Another suspect, who managed to escape, is under investigation.
Besides, Murad Aliyev (1979), a resident of Baku, and Emin Askerov, a resident of Sharur region, who also tried to bring drugs into Azerbaijan, are detained.
