Baku/16.10.23/Turan: Public activist Emin Akhundov was arrested administratively for 30 days, his father Khalid Akhnudov said.
The young man was called to the 5th police department of Binagadi district on Saturday. "We went together. I was waiting outside. Then they demanded his phone number from me and said that he allegedly cursed someone on the Internet. Then they told me I could go home, and Emin would be released tomorrow. The next day we found out that he had been arrested for 30 days," said Kh.Akhundov.
The father noted that the activist was found guilty under Articles 535.1 (non-compliance with legal requirements of the police) and 510 (minor hooliganism) Code of Administrative Misconduct.
Akhundov rejected the accusations against his son, noting that he was detained for posts on social networks. The charges against the activist will be appealed. The Interior Ministry could not be reached for comment. ---06B21---
