Advertising Harmful for Children to Be Restricted by Law
Baku / 21.04.17 / Turan: The administration of the country's President submitted amendments to the law on the rights of the child aimed at protecting children from harmful advertising.
At a meeting of the Committee on Family, Women and Children on Friday, these amendments were considered.
According to the head of the parliamentary committee Agha Nakhchivanli, the amendments are aimed at protecting children's health and ensuring their safety.
In particular, the amendments prohibit the interruption of children's programs for advertising.
There is also a ban on the use of advertising in textbooks, educational materials, school diaries, notebooks, albums and children's books.
It is not allowed to place advertisements that could harm the upbringing and health of children in pre-school and general education institutions.
The bill is recommended for consideration in parliament. -02D-
