Afgan Mukhtarly�s health deteriorated
Baku / 05.04.18 / Turan: The health of the imprisoned journalist Afgan Mukhtarly, deteriorated, stated his wife, journalist Leyla Mustafayeva. Mukhtarly in particular, complain of pain in the heart and lungs. Lawyer Neymat Kerimli appealed to the Main Medical Department of the Ministry of Justice in order to take the necessary steps to treat Mukhtarly. According to him, the X-ray examination revealed spots in his lungs. He asks the Ministry of Justice's medical supervision to be examined by specialists.
It should be reminded that Afgan Mukhtarly was kidnapped by Georgian policemen on May 29, 2017 in the center of Tbilisi and sent across the border of Azerbaijan. The next day he was arrested on charges of smuggling 10,000 euros, resisting the border guard and illegally crossing the border. In January 2018, he was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment. International and local human rights activists have recognized him as a political prisoner. -05B06-

In a bid to modernize and regulate the taxi industry in Baku, mobile patrols of the state traffic police have launched a series of raids aimed at ensuring that taxi drivers comply with newly established requirements.
