Another blow to the ANS - one more program is closed
The National Television and Radio (NBC) banned the airing of another program on the ANS TV channel . The ban is associated with persistent and flagrant violations of the law. This time the violations have been were revealed in a weekly analytical program "Hesabat" on 27 December, 2015 and 17 January, 2016. The NBC stated that on the meeting on 22 January, it was noted that in these programs have been violated the principles of impartiality, objectivity and accuracy. At the same time, there has been a blackening of goodwill, a one-sided commentary and assessment of events. "In view of the above, the release of "Hesabat" will be suspended on 24 January for one month," the report says.
Previously the NBC twice fined the ANS for a total amount of more than 300,000 manats. Those fines were imposed for breaches of the TV channel of the law on advertising. ANS tried to challenge the decision in court NBC, but lost.
In recent weeks, there was an unofficial information about the dismissals of the personnel on the ANS, but the channel itself has not commented on the situation. It is noteworthy that the management of the channel attempts to enlist the support of senior management of the country do not give results. So, today's decision to close the next program coincided with the decision ANS to declare Mehriban Aliyeva a “Person of the Year.” - 06D-
