He is charged with taking a bribe. Using his official position, he took 4,000 manats from a citizen for assistance in accommodating a modular type of Emergency Situations Ministry for patients with coronavirus in the Zykh hospital.

Mammadov was charged under Articles 311.2 (taking a bribe) and 312-1.1 (illegal influence on the decision of an official) of the Criminal Code, a measure of restraint was chosen against him in the form of arrest.

The heads of "Yeni Klinika" and the modular hospital of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were arrested

Baku/22.04.21/Turan: Director of the “Yeni Klinika” Parviz Abbasov was arrested on charges of taking bribes, the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office reported today. In the course of the investigation carried out by the Main Department for Combating Corruption, it was established that Abbasov, as well as other employees of the institution Avaz Huseynov, Samir Mirzoyev and Vusala Aliyev for a certain fee - from 3 thousand to 3.5 thousand manats, received patients with coronavirus for inpatient treatment in the clinic.

A lawsuit was filed against Abbasov under Articles 311.3.1 (taking a bribe by a group of persons by prior conspiracy) and 311.3.2 (repeated taking a bribe). According to the court decision, Abbasov was taken into custody. A criminal case was initiated against Huseynov, Aliyeva and Mirzoyev under Article 32.5, 311.3.1 (assistance in receiving a bribe by a group of persons by prior agreement). Mirzoyev was arrested, and measures not related to detention were taken against Huseynov and Aliyeva.

The Yeni Klinika was opened in April last year and has been used to treat coronavirus patients. It was equipped with modern medical equipment and was considered the most advanced among the "covid" hospitals.

According to another report from the Prosecutor General's Office, the head physician of the modular hospital of the Emergencies Ministry's Medical Center, Imran Agayev, was also arrested on similar charges.

He, having entered into an agreement with the registry staff of the medical institution, Gulu Orudjev and Talekh, took bribes from the patients' relatives for placing them in the clinic and providing patients with a higher level of treatment. All were charged under Article 311.3.1 (taking a bribe by a group of persons by prior conspiracy) of the Criminal Code. –06D-
