Another Protest Action of Amrahbank Depositors
Baku / 18.08.20 / Turan: A group of former depositors of the Amrahbank deprived of a license gathered today in front of the Central Bank (CBA). They are unhappy with the fact that earlier the Constitutional Court ruled in favor of the depositors of AGBank, Atabank and NBC Bank. However, for some reason, this did not affect Amrahbank depositors.
According to the audience, on August 12, the director of the Bank Insurance Fund assured that their accounts would be unblocked. But this has not happened yet.
The police officers recommended that the audience leave the territory in front of the CBA and apply to the Deposit Insurance Fund. The action ended without incident.
It should be reminded that all 4 banks were stripped of their licenses in April. During the liquidation process, it turned out that banks continued to accept deposits from the population, although the CBA had banned this long before in view of the poor financial situation. –06D-

Although a ceasefire declaration was signed between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia, a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan has yet to be signed, even four years later.
