Another two journalists summoned for questioning to the prosecutor�s office
Baku / 05.07.17 / Turan: Two more journalists have been summoned to the Prosecution of Serious Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office as witnesses: an independent journalists Isolda Agayeva and Islam Shihali. The call is connected with the criminal cases of journalist Afgan Mukhtarly and Meydan TV. Isolda Agayev should go to the prosecutor's office on July 6 at 10.00, and Ilham Shihali on July 7 at the same time.
Earlier in these cases, the prosecutor's office interrogated journalists: Sevinj Vagifgizi, Khadija Ismail, Natika Javadli, former and current leaders of the Yeni Musavat Party Isa Gambar and Arif Hajili and others. Last week, Mukhtarly case was combined with the "Meydan TV" case. The authorities are intensively looking for evidence that opposition media are financed from abroad, contrary to the wish of the authorities of Azerbaijan.-0--
