Armenian military accused of sabotage be brought to trial
The Republican Military Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigation into Arsen Baghdasaryan - member of the Armenian reconnaissance and sabotage group who crossed the contact line on December 26 in Agdam area. The case was submitted to the court, Turan was told by the military prosecutor's office. Bagdasarian was caught on December 26 in the evening, when the members of his group tried to cross the front line. Against him military prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit under several Articles.
According to the press service of the Military Prosecutor's Office, Sergeant Baghdasaryan served under contract as commander of the 1st platoon reconnaissance military unit №49971, which is part of the territory placed in the village of Agdere (former Martakert.)
He was ordered to go to the Azerbaijani side and install mines in tranches. Baghdasaryan and other members of the group (their names known to the investigators) on 26 December crossed the line of contact. Of the seven bombs which they had three were landmine. Bagdasarian was detained by Azerbaijani military when going back. The mines were cleared.
Baghdasaryan is charged under the Article 218.2 (participation in a criminal association (criminal organization), 29, 120.2.1 (premeditated murder attempt a group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or criminal community), 29, 120.2.7 (premeditated murder attempt or 2 several persons), 29, 120.2.12 (premeditated murder motivated by ethnic, racial or religious hatred or enmity), 29, 282.2 (causing an explosion, arson or other actions aimed at the destruction of vital infrastructure). The date of trial is not reported. It should be noted that the Armenian side claims that Baghdasaryan was hired, but retired from the army.
