At least 50% of fans will be admitted to football matches Euro-2020
Baku/08.04.21/Turan: Azerbaijan has fulfilled the UEFA condition on admission to Euro-2020 matches of at least 50% of the fans for the number of seats at the Olympic Stadium in Baku.
This decision was made at a joint meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Organizing Committee for Euro 2020, taking into account the recommendations of UEFA, reads the message of AFFA (Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan) dated April 8.
Fans will be admitted to the stadium subject to COVID-19 quarantine procedures.
This decision will affect local fans, as well as foreign citizens, whose national teams will play in Baku - Turkey, Switzerland and Wales.
In the near future, the public will be informed in more detail about the procedures applied to fans to watch UEFA EURO 2020 matches in Baku at the stadium, the statement said.
The capital of Azerbaijan will host three A-group matches and one quarter-finals.
The group stage games will take place: June 12 at 17:00, when Wales - Switzerland play; June 16 at 20:00 when Turkey - Wales play; and on June 20 at 20:00, when Switzerland - Turkey will play.
The quarterfinal match will take place on July 3 at 20:00.
Euro 2020 was to take place last year, but was postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic. —06D-
