At trial of the son of human rights defender O.Gyulalyev
In Khatai District Court on Friday under the chairmanship of Bakhtiyar Mammadov held a preparatory meeting on the case of 17-year-old Ali Gyulalyev - the son of a human rights activist Oktay Gyulalyev.
He is charged with disorderly conduct. In particular, he was charged with involvement in the fight September 20, 2013 at the school N165 in the village of NZS, where he studied.
Victim in this case also is the student of this school Bayram Sultanli.
However, at the preparatory hearing, neither he nor his representative was present. Turan was told by O.Gyulalyev.
"This criminal case is falsified in order to distract attention from the attack on the very Ali on September 23 and inflicting knife wounds. Rather than investigate the matter, 11 months later they charged my son," said O.Gyulalyev.
However, he noted that the investigation of hooliganism is not at the district police, but at the Criminal Investigation Department of the police of the city of Baku.
According to him, the only material evidence in the case is a video from surveillance cameras in the school. But these shots show no fact of a fight.
In the video you can see a cluster of groups of students.
Ali himself is not visible on the frame. The investigator in the Khatai police, who conducted a preliminary investigation, also recorded that he has not seen the presence of Ali in the video.
O.Gyulalyev and representatives of the democratic community are convinced that the attack on A.Gyulalyev was committed in connection with the fact that the father of the young man was press secretary of the presidential candidate of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Hasanli.
In view of the appearance of the victim and the absence of the lawyer of the accused, the preparatory meeting was rescheduled for September 9.
The trial was attended by the head of NCDF Jamil Hasanli, leader of "Classic" Popular Front Mirmahmud Miralioglu, other NCDF members, representatives of civil society and the media. -06S-
