Another fire in Girkan (Astara region) Reserve occurred the evening of August 28.
According to the Ministry of Environment, the fire took place in the mountainous terrain and the arrival there of the special equipment is difficult. Therefore, to extinguish the fire human resources were used by MOE and the Ministry of Environment.
Numerous fires this summer in the woods Girkan have been recorded on an area of 8 hectares.
Causes of the fires are not reported.
Similar fires this year have been widespread and covered forest in Lerik, Lankaran, Gabala, Shamakhi and other parts of the country. The main reason for the fires is hot and dry weather. -16D-
