Avalanche Blocks Ismayilli-Lagich Highway, Isolating Villages
An avalanche triggered by short-term heavy rains has descended onto the Ismayilli-Lagich highway, causing significant disruption and isolating several villages. The incident occurred on a stretch of road passing through a scattered area, where large rocks, debris, and mud from the mountains fell onto the highway, completely halting vehicle movement in both directions.
As a result, nine villages, including the village of Lagich, have been cut off from the district center. Some vehicles have been stranded on the road due to the blockage, causing inconvenience to travelers and residents.
Authorities have dispatched machinery and labor to the affected area to clear the debris and restore access. Efforts are currently underway to reopen the highway and reconnect the isolated villages with the district center.
The local government is prioritizing the clearance work to ensure the safety and mobility of the residents. Updates on the progress of the road clearing operations are expected as the situation develops.

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
