AZAL to Carry out Two Flights on Route Baku-Istanbul-Baku
Baku / 15.06.20 / Turan: AZAL Airlines will carry out special flights on the route Baku-Istanbul-Baku on June 17 and 18.
“Ticket sales will begin on June 15th. 150 passengers in each direction will be accepted on the flights,” the press service of AZAL said.
The air carrier notes that both Azerbaijani and Turkish citizens can purchase tickets for the Baku-Istanbul flight, and only Azerbaijani citizens for the Istanbul-Baku flight.
“Azerbaijani citizens visiting Turkey should contact the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan to familiarize themselves with the rules of entry into the territory of Turkey and obtain the relevant permits,” the report says.
According to the new rules, passengers who receive negative COVID-19 tests answered in special laboratories of the Medical Territorial Unit Management Association (TABIB) will be allowed on the flight.
At the same time, passengers from Istanbul at the check-in counter will have to present a negative result document on COVID-19, provided by the Memorial Saglık Grubu clinic in Istanbul and received 48 hours before the flight.
In this case, Azerbaijani citizens traveling with the Istanbul-Baku flight with negative results on COVID-19 are exempted from the requirement to be quarantined. However, passengers with COVID-19 symptoms may be re-examined, notes AZAL. — 06D-
