Azerbaijan has dropped down to 80th place in the passport index
Baku / 06.07.21/Turan: On July 6, Henley & Partners published the traditional Index of world passports that summarized passport ratings different countries.
According to the latest data, the theoretical possibility of passports with actual access to travel has significantly decreased due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Thus, tourism in the EU countries has reduced by 90%. Some countries continue to keep their borders closed.
The Japanese passport remains the first place in the index to mean that the borders of 193 countries worldwide are open to Japanese citizens.
It ought to be noted that Singapore remains in the second place with its visa-free access to 192 countries, South Korea and Germany share the third place with their visa-free access to 191 destinations. However, due to the coronavirus quarantine, Japanese passport holders have access to less than 80 destinations while Singapore passports have actual access to 75 destinations.
Azerbaijan dropped from 74th to 80th place due to changes in the positions of other countries. In the reviewed period, the country has not concluded agreements on visa-free travel. Holders of the Azerbaijani passport can travel without a visa to 68 countries of the world.
The Georgian passport ranked 54th in the index, and the Armenian passport ranked 84th.
Experts believe that the global mobility will be seriously limited, at least during 2021 which will have a serious impact on the global economy and significantly reduce human opportunities. -02D-
