Believers of Azerbaijan, as well as Muslims around the world, mark Gurban Bayram on October 4-5. On this occasion, in the morning on October 4 at the mosques of the country was made a festive prayer, and then begin sacrifice of sheep and cattle.
Sacrifices can be made during two days. In the past, on the Gurban Bayram the meat prices inflate dramatically. This year, the Ministry of Agriculture announced that the price of one sheep cannot be higher than the 80-100 manats.
The Ministry of Agriculture carried out a mass import of sheep from Georgia.
This morning at a large wholesale and retail market "Agrovest" (located opposite the shopping center "Bina") sheep were sold for the price of four manat per one kilo liveweight. This is significantly lower than the normal price.
This year Qurban Bayram is on weekends, so Monday and Tuesday will be announced days off. -05B06-
