Azerbaijani Citizen Crosses Border with Armenia - Media
Baku / 12.06.20 / Turan: An Azerbaijani citizen who crossed the border was detained in the Armenian border village of Areguni (bordering the Gadabay region of Azerbaijan). It is reported by Sputnik Armenia, with reference to local authorities. The 26-year-old man, whose name is not disclosed, was transferred to the National Security Service of Armenia, where he is being questioned.
Before he was taken away by security officers, the Azerbaijani told the villagers that he was a shepherd. He quarreled with the shepherd for not being paid money, and the night before he decided to cross the border. The State Security Service has not yet commented on the incident. The Azerbaijani side has not yet commented on the situation.
Recall that a similar case occurred in March 2019, when a citizen of Azerbaijan crossed the border to Armenia. Nothing is known about his fate. -02D-
