Baku/01.11.22/Turan: Until recently, the main ways of mastering the Russian language in Azerbaijan were the former education in a Russian-language school, full-time education in a special center, or self-education. Now opportunities have expanded due to online learning. Support for such projects is provided by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, according to a study by PRO-VISION AGENCY LLC.
This department is interested in popularizing the Russian language and culture and considers Azerbaijan one of the most promising areas for launching relevant educational initiatives. Many of them have been implemented on an annual basis for several years. As a rule, training is conducted in spring or autumn, the duration of most programs is 2-4 months.
An example of such courses is the project "Such a Different Russia: Language, Culture, History" launched by the Zlatoust Center. The program includes over 20 free online courses of varying complexity.
Beginners will get acquainted with phonetics, cases and verbs. And Azerbaijanis who speak Russian at an advanced level will learn how to write an essay (required for admission to universities), study the Russian Internet language, get acquainted with Russian literature of the 19th-20th centuries, masterpieces of Russian painting and the fate of their creators, the history of the country. Education is available to all citizens of Azerbaijan without age restrictions.

“We are constantly seeing a growing interest in learning the Russian language among foreign audiences. And today one of the important directions is building a common educational space with Russian specialists and their foreign colleagues. We see a number of countries that are actively aimed at strengthening cooperation in the educational sphere with Russia, and we are consistently interacting with them,” comments Russian Deputy Minister of Education Denis Gribov. ---06B---
