Aziz Orujev transferred to the medical unit

Baku / 04.04.18 / Turan: Due to the deteriorating health condition, the convicted director of the Internet resource "Kanal 13" Aziz Orujev, was transferred to thejail N14, where he is serving a sentence, Turan was informed about this by the lawyer of journalist Bahruz Bayramov. According to him, the journalist hardly speaks, he has a high fever. Bayramov today met with Orujov and after appeals of the lawyer and native journalists, he was transferred to the medical unit. Meanwhile, on April 5, at 11:00, the Supreme Court will hold a hearing on the Orujov case. The journalist himself will not be able to participate in the process.

* Aziz Orujev was arrested on May 2, 2017 for 30 days on charges of an administrative offense - disobedience to the police. At the end of this period, he was charged on criminal charges: 192 (illegal business) and 308 (abuse of official powers). Subsequently, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison, not pleading guilty.
