Bahtiyar Hajiyev is accused of hooliganism

Baku/10.03.22/Turan: A criminal case is being investigated against public activist Bahtiyar Hajiyev on the fact of hooliganism, Zeyni Huseynov, spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said on March 10.

According to him, in July last year, Hajiyeva and his acquaintance Ulviya Muradova mutually filed complaints against each other to the Yasamal district police department.

“Their complaints were investigated and it was established that Hajiyev and Muradova agreed to cross their cats. At the same time, Hajiyev promised to give Muradova one of the born kittens, but he did not do this, and a conflict arose between them, Huseynov said. After Muradova wrote about it on social networks, Hajiyev came to her house and argued with her.

The complaints of the parties were investigated, since their actions did not contain elements of a crime, and the opening of the criminal case was denied. They were recommended to file lawsuits for dissemination of materials that offend honor and dignity, discrediting business reputation.

After that, Hajiyev filed a complaint against Muradova in the Yasamal court in the form of a private criminal charge.

At the trial on October 15, Hajiyev, “voicing unethical expressions against Muradova, deliberately created a conflict, grossly violated public order and the normal working hours of the court, using force against Muradova, causing her slight bodily injury, committed hooliganism.”

In fact, a criminal case was initiated in the Yasamal district police department under the Article “hooliganism” and the investigation is currently ongoing. Upon completion of the investigation, the materials of the case will be sent to the court for consideration.

“Despite all this, Ulviya Muradova and Bahtiyar Hajiyev were not satisfied with this, demanding the arrest of each other. Each time they are explained that upon completion of the investigation, the court will give a legal assessment," the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will not comment on yesterday's detention of Hajiyev, whom he kept for about five hours in the capital's police. Hajiyev announced the beating and torture in this department. -16D06-
