Baku does not comment on plane crash in Moscow
Baku / 27.02.19 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Company Silk Way does not comment on the crash of the Gulfstream G200 in Moscow"s Sheremetyevo Airport on February 26.
Meanwhile, a lawsuit has been filed in Moscow into the incident with the aircraft, which during landing rolled out of the runway. According to Russian media, the plane was operating a private flight from Baku. The business jet suffered significant damage as a result. On board were three passengers and two crewmembers, no injuries.
"During the investigation of the criminal case, the technical condition of the aircraft and the runway will be carefully checked, as well as an assessment will be given to the actions of the crew and ground services," said a representative of the Investigative Committee.
According to some reports, the cause of the accident was the aircraft landing gear failure.
Because of this accident, the airport was forced to change flight schedules on February 26 and 27, as the runway remained closed.
Attempts by Turan to get a comment in AZAL and Silk Way were futile. Aviation companies of Azerbaijan did not make any statements on this issue.
According to unofficial data, the plane was chartered by a certain businessperson. -02D-
