"Big" pardon expected in May - Zahid Oruj
Baku/25.01.23/Turan: The next pardon in Azerbaijan will be timed to the 100th anniversary of the birth of ex-president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, which is celebrated on May 10, the head of the Milli Majlis Committee on Human Rights Zahid Oruj said today at a meeting of this parliamentary structure.
According to him, the Presidential Pardon Commission has already considered 360 appeals.
"The application review process will continue until May," Oruj said.
The last time the President of Azerbaijan signed a pardon order on May 27, 2022. Then 213 people were pardoned, including more than 20 political prisoners. --16В--
