Blizzard, Snowfall to Last All Day
Baku/24.02.21/Turan: Snowfall and strong winds will last all day, forecasters from the Ministry of Ecology said.
Snowfalls occur throughout the country. Most precipitation is in the mountainous regions of the Greater Caucasus - half a meter.
In Baku and Absheron, 5 cm of snow had already fallen by morning and the level of precipitation will increase. Thermometer columns in Baku show -3-4 degrees.
The wind speed in gusts reaches 25-28 meters per second, and the wave height in the Caspian Sea is 6 meters.
Bad weather made it difficult for traffic in the capital and on the roads of the country. The roads were covered with ice. Traffic is especially difficult on ups and downs, on bridges and in tunnels. Travel speed is sharply limited.
